PRE-WALK INFO: (If supplied) Walk leader's description of start point/general information about route.

For the past couple of years, some of us have gone on a Christmas Day walk; not a “bah humbug” day, simply a nice ramble for friends who fancy a good hike on the 25th! This year we shall be starting from Scalby Mills Road at 10am, distance approximately 10 miles, (depending on weather conditions) and you are most welcome to join us, for all or part of the way. This may well appeal to members who do not have family commitments, someone on their own (no need to be lonely, come along and put best foot forward!) or who simply have quite a lot of the daytime free.

We should be back at the start for 3-3.30pm as normal; the walk goes inland via Scalby and Suffield before descending to Burniston and returning by the cliffs. It is not intended to be an official “Ramblers’ rules” day, but it is a No Dogs walk and fancy dress is not recommended....Pam and Sheena have made it clear that I am not to wear my Santa’s Little Helper outfit until I get home.

Hope you can join us, please contact me if you have any queries.

 With best wishes,
