Saturday 23rd January

Trevor Ford sent in the four images below after walking from home up to Givendale Head - heavy frost and mist rising out of the vale. He says the becks and spring were in full flow with all the rain water pouring off the land and he shudders to think what York and Malton must be like.

Sunday 24th January
Phil Trafford walked from East Ayton over Irton Moor, to the mast, down to Thoxenby mere and returned through Raincliffe Woods and Forge Valley. He set up his trail camera, whilst stopped for a cuppa and was luck enough to catch this nuthatch. Click on the "play" arrow to view

Sunday 31st January

Bob Clutson and Phil Trafford started from the "corner cafe" area of the North bay and walked inland through Peasholm Glen, the old cemetery, Woodlands Ravine and on to Throxenby mere and Raincliffe woods. They returned via Scalby Cut and the Seal Life Centre.
Sunday 7th February
Bob Clutson and Phil Trafford's walk included Lady Mildred's ride in Raincliffe Woods, a delightful path, which is where the two photos below were taken.
Tuesday 9th February
Phil Trafford's daily exercise involved a walk to inspect the snow in Forge Valley. Click on the "play" arrow below for a video at the "bird-watchers' car park"
