PRE-WALK INFO: (If supplied) Walk leader's description of start point/general information about route.

Next Sunday's walk from Ravenscar will be in 2 sections - an 8 mile loop followed by an optional 3 mile loop - providing shorter (8 miles)and longer (11 miles) options.

We'll start by heading north along the Cleveland Way through the old alum works to Stoupe Brow. As the tide will be out we can walk along the beach to Robin Hood's Bay (following part of the route of Les and Margie's Christmas walk). A gentle stroll through the village brings us to the cinder track / disused railway which we will follow all the way back to Ravenscar.

The second loop goes south through the old Ravenscar Railway Station and passes  the WW2 radar station where it is possible to look around the site and admire views of the coast from inside the Military Lookout.

This walk is full of interest - hope to see you there!
