From Scarborough, take A170 through Kirkbymoorside. One-third of a mile from edge of town, turn right into minor road. Turn right at crossroads towards Fadmoor. After two miles, turn left into Green Lane, signposted Sleightholmedale. Follow road around sharp right bend and after 1¾ miles park on verge beyond cattle grid. (This is where the walk starts, but you could park at any convenient point after Aumery Park farm and walk to the start point, as the route at the end of the walk follows the road from the farm.)
