The walk goes through typical Wolds scenery of steep sided dry valleys and rolling agricultural land. Along the route are many boundary markers inscribed in Latin, dating not from Roman times but from the 1960s. At Wold House Farm there is life size bronze statue of a former farm manager, a Mr Midgley, who keeps watch along the approach road to the farm.
