PRE-WALK INFO: (If supplied) Walk leader's description of start point/general information about route.

In the unlikely event that anybody is actually coming on the York walk on Wednesday I should point out that you don't really need boots as it is all on paths which are mostly on walls. The advertised 4.5 miles is almost certainly an exaggeration but walking on pavements can take its toll. If ,like me, you are addicted to tea shops you don't really need to bring anything apart from a waterproof although the walk is scheduled to finish at a delightful garden with numerous benches where a packed lunch could be enjoyed.
As an inducement I will be buying coffees for all at either the barbican or a convent.
Trish has obtained passes to the Minster for anyone who wishes to visit; a considerable saving.
It has not yet been confirmed but it is rumoured that Les Atkinson is bringing his lute and will entertain with a medley of madrigals and the hits of Elton John.
