Six group members together with Senior Ranger for the Coastal Area,
Bernie Mclindon travelled North to Staithes to work on on two well
used paths, which run from the old village up to the car park, both of which
are frequently used by both locals and visitors. The surfaces have
been recently strimmed, but trees and shrubs on both sides were
growing across the paths. It was our task to cut this growth back.
Two revetment boards were going rotten and were replaced. An
potentially dangerous iron bar was found sticking up in the middle
of the path and, after great effort, was dug out. An enjoyable and
satisfying day. Any members interested in joining the working
parties please contact Les Atkinson.
