Always stay in touch with the person in front, and the person behind

The group's first working party  in the National Park since March took place at the Hulleys. The party could only consist of five volunteers and ranger Bernie McLindon. The idea is that the five lucky (?) names out the hat this time will be replaced with those that missed out at  next month's session. However, this has been thrown into doubt by Bernie, who announced that yesterday's five were now a "bubble" and the members cannot be changed. This is understandable where people are working together daily, but makes no sense when a month separates sessions. Hopefully, this will be sorted out before next time. Our task was at to clear the bracken blocked footpath which runs NW to Cloughton Moor, then the path from the farm into the valley. The new permissive footpath, which avoids the farmyard,  was also cleared and  signposted.
