December 13th, Working Party at Falling Foss, led by Les Atkinson |
|
Our task was to fill the revetment we had made on our previous visit with stone and "wack" it. Fortunately, we had mechanised help this time with a track barrow and a wacker plate. As usual at the last working party before Christmas, Bernie was on hand with his "kelly" kettle to produce mulled wine to accompany mince pies and stollen at lunchtime. Despite the rain, it was a satisfying day enjoyed by all. |
