Wednesday 16th July, Working Party at Esk Valley, led by Ray Johnson |
|
Six group members joined ranger Beth and her apprentice Ashley at Esk Valley from where they walked to the site to be worked on. The path concerned was very overgrown and eroded by running water which should have gone through two culverts. Most of the party set to walk clearing the vegetation and over-hanging tree branches, whilst Jim and Beth disappeared into the under growth with drain rods and spades to try and find the culvert entrances, and decide whether they could be unblocked or need to be completely replaced. |
