Meet and park by the Green in Rosedale Abbey Join us on a circular walk from Rosedale Abbey, exploring the beautiful surroundings countryside. The walk is for experienced walkers. From Rosedale Abbey we walk to Thorgill, then to East Rosedale along the disused railway line, climb up to Knott Road, walk towards Glaisdale, return to Knott Road, back to the railway line and return to Rosedale Abbey. There is some walking on minor roads. Sorry no dogs due to livestock and moorland birds. Assistance dogs are welcome, but please contact the walk leader for more information on suitability. The walk is along defined paths and tracks that can be narrow, rocky, stony and precipitous in places, which may become even slippy in wet conditions. The walk includes a short stretch’s of public roads. This walk also takes in exposed moorland, it is essential that you wear / take appropriate clothing and walking boots. In addition we would also advise waterproofs, sun hat / sun protection, walking poles etc. The walk leader will advise on the weather forecast / walking conditions etc at the meeting point. Please remember to bring plenty of fluids, lunch and snacks. It is essential if you have any concerns to please let the walk leader know as soon as possible
